Choose Clean, Renewable Energy with Provo Power’s SharedSolar Program!

Introducing SharedSolar – the perfect solution for homeowners and renters who want to benefit from solar power without the ability or the hassle of installing and maintaining their own solar panels. With our community solar project, you can enjoy the perks of clean energy without the inconvenience.

How It Works

Our SharedSolar program is simple and hassle-free. Here’s how it works:

Our solar project generates electricity during the day from the sun and delivers it to the power grid, where the utility is credited with the specific energy allocation based on customer participation.

Subscribing is easy – Our customers can subscribe for 1 kilowatt (kw) blocks that generate 200-kilowatt-hours (kwh) of energy. An average-size home uses about 750 kwh per month, so you’ll have the power to purchase blocks depending on your needs. And the best part? You can keep your subscriptions for up to 20 years and transfer them within our service territory if you move.
